I don’t know how some people keep a straight face when they say “second screen” and legitimately refer to a phone.
Yes I know this might hurt some peoples feelings, but If an ad is playing (midroll or paused) – I am 100% picking up my phone.
Or more likely, singing the song “fluffy butt” as I play the drums on my dogs back thigh.
Perhaps I’m naive and it’s secretly known that only 1% of the audience will look, Its just never talked about. That buy for 1000 impressions is actually for 10.
What’s that you ask? Why is the guys head huge in that image?
well 2 reasons:
1: The AI generated it extremely large and it made me laugh at the ridiculousness of it – so it stays.
2: It’s actually because the man is big brained (as the cool kids say), and realised that Content Partners could join adStripe.ai In-Content Partner Program, and have people “fully engaged/leaned in/in the moment/other industry term” when ad inventory is delivered.
Just think, an ad could be delivered while people are looking at it, instead of later when people are distracted by senselessly using a dogs thigh as a rhythm instrument.
….And Yes, this is absolutely a shameless plug
