Pause ads ruined The Boys for me.
How am I supposed to marvel at the CGI composite of “Love sausage” when a pause ad covers the screen?
All I wanted to do was see if they’d rendered a bounce light pass on the appendage when it’s used to strangle another man. Does it have an appropriate contact shadow? I will never know.

I was also hoping to click the amazon “music” button to see what the music was. Lo and behold, the pause ad covers that too.
“But you can press a button to hide the ad” the naysayers whine (the ad-team).
NO. I will do the grown up thing and simply boycott the product that was in the ad, which lucky for me was HubSpot (what the hell kind of targeting profile/keyword am I under?)
